Principle 2 of 8

Integrity

Align your words, actions, and values so your outer life reflects your inner truth.

Integrity means being whole: what you value, what you say and what you do point in the same direction. When they pull apart, a quiet tension builds inside. You may not notice it at first, but it shows up as unease, self-doubt, or the feeling of living someone else’s life.

Much of our conditioning teaches us to act in ways that please others or keep us safe, even when it costs us our truth. Integrity asks you to notice those gaps gently and close them, one choice at a time.

As your outer life comes to reflect your inner truth, you begin to trust yourself again — and that trust becomes ground you can heal on.

Reflection

Where in your life do your actions not yet match what you truly value?

These principles come from From Wound to Wisdom, where they form the foundation for deeper inner work. To see how they fit into the healing process, read about Alberto’s approach to healing emotional trauma.

A gentle note. This work is spiritual and educational in nature. It complements, and does not replace, the care of a licensed mental health professional or medical treatment. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, please contact your local emergency services or a crisis line right away.
